Dad's birthday After Easter, we soon celebrated dad's birthday. Piet and Emma decorated the football and family-having-a-picnic cake. Juliana helped unwrap the presents and the kids (not just Emma) got one too.
We took a family picture and went all together to church and afterwards to the nearby Centenial park. We kicked a football around. The lack of rain made us smile and kind of smile. We used our new picnic blanket and Juultje helped cut the cake.
Meeting Benji in Eastern View
For the long ANZAC day weekend - it happened 100 years ago - we went to Melbourne to meet Benji, who was very exited to see us. Mum picked up Piet and Emma from school, Juliana from child care and dad from work for a 4pm flight on Friday. The weather was rather rainy, but during a dry spell Piet and Emma played on the
tree trunk chair
together, while
Benji (recognize the pyjamas?) and
Juultje enjoyed their breakfast.
Uncle Andrew read us some
books.
Piet and
Juultje posed for indoor pictures.
On Sunday, mum took Piet and Emma on a road trip along cape Otway. Unfortunately, dinosaur cove was not publicly accessible, but we went to a place were we fed Rosellas and spotted koalas up in trees. On Monday, Benji and Emma played very nicely together when we walked to the nearby historical marker.
