Emma and Juliana like hanging out together. Emma played with the trainging band on the corso during the Manly jazz festival. Lum helped the girls with their craft.
Canberra
During the school holidays, mum took the kids to Canberra to see Lum's new home and to explore Canberra. The kids really enjoyed the
lego exhibition and were interested as always in feeding
the birds in the local avary. Lum read Juliana a book, while mum
combed her hair. Piet has been
an avid reader as of late.
From Canberra we drove on to Bendoc, where dad joined as well. We saw a wombat on the front lawn. The kids enjoyed the swings and the swings and trampoline, but we took hardly any pictures. Everybody helped clear twigs and branches from the paddocks and lawn. We drove back on the public holiday Monday to Canberra, where we spend the night at Lum's place to avoid the traffic jams coming in to Sydney. On Tuesday morning, we left at 6.30am and had a clear run to Sydney, where we dropped dad at work.
Zeke and Rosie dropped in for a sleepover, as they were driving with their parents from a holiday in Queensland back to Melbourne. Juliana showed Rosie how to mess with sand in the yard. Later in the week, mum took the kids to see a theatre play.
