On Friday 18th July we moved into the house we bought nearby in Manly. It is a charming single story, three bedroom semi (twee-onder-een-kap), about 5 meters wide and 30 meters deep. It is slighly further to school, but there is no hill, so Piet and Emma are happy to cycle to school. When we were in Addison Road, they gave up cycling as they found it too tiring to push their bikes back up the hill in the afternoon after a full school day.
We (matrimonial we) kept unpacking a few boxes a day, with the help of grannybunts, who arrived on Monday to keep Juliana out of mum's way. As she can more or less sit up straight, we mounted her playpen, which she immediately took to. She continues to sleep beautifully at night and erratically during the day. Piet enjoyed the sprinkles (fruithagel), one of the three packs that aunt Hanna had brought.
